Description
Cultivated at 3000 m, in the village of Neuf Dragons. An exceptional spice, once reserved for the emperor.
It grows on the edge of a deep, narrow gorge in Sichuan province, on soil irrigated by glacial water flowing down from the Tibetan plateau. It acquires an unparalleled power and aroma, and a single grain is enough to numb the entire tongue. For the true connoisseur, use in a pinch! In Sichuanese cuisine, it is generally used with very hot peppers.
