Allows you to regulate the pressure at 5, 10 or 15lbs
The regulator controls and maintains the proper pressure in the autoclave. Proper pressure is achieved when the regulator begins to oscillate smoothly.
The regulator can be adjusted to maintain three levels of pressure.
When the regulator is fully assembled, it will maintain 103 kPa (15 psi). When one counterweight washer is removed, the regulator will hold 10 psi (69 kPa). When both counterweight washers are removed, 34 kPa (5 psi) will be maintained.
The regulator can be adjusted by removing the appropriate number of the appropriate number of washers.
To remove the washers, hold the entire regulator between your index and middle index and middle fingers of one hand with your thumb on top of the of the knob. Squeeze the knob to force the washers over the locking ring.
To replace them, push them over the the locking ring on top of the regulator body.
