To celebrate 100 years of Valrhona together, Valrhona created Komuntu with you.
Suppliers, cocoa partners, employees, customers, consumers, you were all involved at every stage: from the search for a unique taste to the choice of packaging with symbolic motifs reflecting the diversity of Valrhona's different cocoa-producing countries. All players in the world of ethical chocolate, Valrhona embodies Komuntu.
Its name is a contraction of “Komunumo”, which means community in Esperanto, and “Ubuntu”, an African concept meaning “I am, because we are”.
Komuntu is a chocolate created with you, for you.
The entire supply chain has contributed to creating the taste of Komuntu. It tells the story of all the people Valrhona has met around the world. The result is a blend of cocoa with a singular aromatic character. Because Komuntu embodies Valrhona's commitment to a fair, sustainable chocolate industry and to creative, responsible gastronomy, Valrhona is donating all profits made to cocoa producers to mark its centenary.
