Vanilla beans grown in Uganda are almost always of the Planifolia type. Like many other African countries, most farmers used to sell their green vanilla directly to large extract producers. Thus, few of them know how to do the work of preparation properly. This is a far cry from the age-old traditions of Madagascar. Nevertheless, many of them are trying the change to do the processing in order to increase their profit margin. What a good idea! In addition to bringing them a more decent income for their work, it allows us to taste the unique identity of this land: delicately chocolatey with round, creamy and floral notes of chamomile.
