This is the smallest of our four classic maple cutting boards. Its size is practical and easy to store. Elegant, stable, strong and durable: What more could you ask for in a cutting board?
Unlike bamboo, which has to travel thousands of miles to reach our kitchen, maple is a local resource, the hardest of our wood species. It has a very high density and low porosity: qualities that facilitate cleaning and maintenance.
The glue used to laminate our boards is highly resistant to humidity and has been approved for food contact by the FDA. And yes, you can be reassured, Health Canada and MAPAQ approve wood as a work surface.
We can assure you that if you take good care of your cutting board, it will last for years, if not decades.
